Cream Cheese + Hummus Dip

This is a fantastic appetizer that I had to share after trying it (and loving it) at my friend Becky's house (celebrating her little girl Harper's 1st birthday)!  The prep is simple, and I love the colors for fall get-togethers.  If bell peppers aren't your thing, substitute with any other veggie (chopped cherry tomatoes, broccoli, carrots, etc...).  Basically any vegetable you like to dip in hummus is going to work great.  Just keep the dice size small and consistent, helps for easy dipping.  Now that I think about it, next time I make this I think I'll add a few chopped kalamata olives for color and that yummy briney flavor...

INGREDIENTS:
1 - 8oz package cream cheese
1 t Lawry's Garlic Salt (course ground w/ parsley)
1 - 8oz container hummus
1/2 yellow bell pepper, diced
1/2 red bell pepper, diced
1/2 orange bell pepper, diced
1/2 C feta, diced
1/4 C green onion, finely chopped
Pita Chips for dipping

INSTRUCTIONS
Begin by softening the cream cheese - about 15-20 seconds in the microwave will do.  On a large platter, spread the softened cream cheese as evenly as possible.  Sprinkle with 1 t garlic salt, and then carefully spread the hummus on top.  Top with the diced bell peppers, feta, and finally the chopped green onion.  Serve with pita chips or extra veggies for dipping!

enJOY (and thank you Becky for the fun recipe)!
